Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pricinger ("Pricinger", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit our website, use our applications, or use our dynamic pricing and market analytics services (together, the "Services"). It also explains the privacy rights available to you and how to exercise them.

1. Scope and our role

This policy applies to visitors to our website, users of our applications, and customers of the Services. For most of the personal data described here — such as your account and billing details and how you interact with us — Pricinger acts as the "data controller", meaning we decide how and why your data is processed.

When you connect your listings, Pricinger also processes data on your behalf as a "data processor" — for example, reservation and guest information that flows through your connected platforms. In that case you are the controller, we act on your documented instructions, and you are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required from the individuals concerned.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — your name and email address, and a profile picture if you choose to add one;
  • Billing data — your billing name and address and the payment details needed to process your subscription, which are handled by our payment processors;
  • Listing and pricing data — property locations, availability, rates, reservations, and related information from the listing platforms, online travel agencies ("OTAs"), and property management systems ("PMS") you choose to connect;
  • Technical and usage data — your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language settings, and how you interact with the Services;
  • Communications data — the messages, support requests, and feedback you send us.

Some reservation and guest data may pass through the Services transiently as part of your connected integrations. We process this data only to provide the Services to you and do not use it for our own marketing.

3. How we use your personal data

We use personal data to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including generating pricing recommendations and market insights;
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer and technical support;
  • send you service-related messages and, where you have not opted out, relevant product updates;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements;
  • send you our newsletter and marketing communications where you have consented to receive them.

We may use aggregated and anonymised data — which does not identify you — to analyse market trends and to develop and improve the Services. Anonymised data is not visible to other users in a way that identifies your business.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, to operate the Services, remember your preferences, measure performance, and understand how the Services are used.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or any cookie preferences we make available. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Services function.

7. Third-party platforms and integrations

The Services connect to OTAs, PMS providers, and other platforms that you choose to link. When you connect an account, you authorise Pricinger to access it on your behalf to provide pricing and analytics, and — where you enable it — to publish price updates to your listings.

Your use of those third-party platforms is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not ours. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of platforms we do not control.

8. International data transfers

Pricinger is based in Greece. Your personal data may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") by us or our service providers, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we put in place appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism, to ensure your data remains protected.

9. How long we keep your personal data

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes set out in this policy, and then for any further period required to meet our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.

When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except for data we are required to retain by law. We may keep aggregated and anonymised data, which does not identify you, indefinitely.

10. Security

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • to access the personal data we hold about you;
  • to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • to have your data deleted or its processing restricted;
  • to receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it;
  • to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Where your request concerns data we process on a customer's behalf as a processor, we will refer you to, or assist, that customer as the controller.

12. Communications and marketing

We may use your contact details to send you service-related messages, which are necessary to operate the Services, and — where permitted — relevant product updates and marketing.

You can opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send you essential service communications.

13. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give you at least thirty (30) days' notice by email or by posting a notice within the Services before they take effect. Changes required by law may take effect immediately.

Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

15. Contact us
