A competitor set, or comp set, is a group of up to 30 competitors you want to keep an eye on. Pricinger compares their prices, stay rules and performance with your own listings, when the comp set is linked to them. Comp sets are part of the Pro plan, and each one costs a flat €7.49 a month at our standard price, however many competitors it holds. See how billing works.

Create a comp set

  1. Open Competitor Analytics and select the + button (Add comp set). If you don't have one yet, select Create your first comp set.
  2. Select Yes, I want to associate the comp set with my listings or No, I want to create a standalone comp set, then select the arrow (Next step) to continue.
  3. If you chose Yes, pick a Main Listing and, if you like, Secondary Listings from your listings. If you chose No, click the map to place a pin where you want to look for competitors. Then select the arrow again.
  4. Give your comp set a name and select the arrow to create it. It opens on the Available Comps tab, ready for you to add competitors.

Add competitors

Available Comps lists the listings around your main listing or pin, nearest first, in a table and on a map. Search for one by name, use Filters to change the distance or narrow the list, and select Add on each listing you want. The My Comps tab shows the ones you've added, and you can remove any of them there.

While you edit a comp set that has a main listing, select Suggested comps to see listings within 10 km that are similar to it, each with a match percentage. Suggestions are refreshed once a week, so a new listing gets its first ones within 7 days.

Compare your listing on the Insights tab

Open a comp set and select Insights. Pick a timeframe, the next 30, 90, 180 or 365 days, and, if several of your listings are attached, the one to compare. You see its revenue, occupancy, availability, prices and stay rules next to the comp set's. A standalone comp set shows the comp set's figures on their own. Each comp-set figure is the median across your competitors, not an average or a total, and your listing's rank shows where it sits among them.

Recent competitor bookings lists upcoming stays your competitors were booked for recently. Pricinger can't see their real bookings: it infers them from nights that stop being available. The Guest paid amount is an estimate, based on the price the competitor listed for those nights.

See a competitor's rates

On the Competitors tab, select a competitor's name to open its details. Its calendar, under How much it costs, shows prices for one channel at a time, and you can switch channels above the calendar. Its reservations are estimated in the same way, so treat them as a guide.
