Set your base, minimum and maximum prices
Your price rules set the frame for every nightly price. Pricinger starts from your base price, adjusts it for each date based on your competitors and your market, and then applies your minimum and maximum price.
Where to find your price rules
- Open the Pricing Dashboard and select your listing.
- Go to the Customize tab and select Price Rules.
- With Annual selected, fill in your prices under Main Settings.
- Select Save plan.
In a hurry? In the Table view of the Pricing Dashboard, select Edit prices next to a listing to change its base and minimum price without opening it.
What each price does
- Base Price is the starting point for all of Pricinger's adjustments. Set it to your usual average net price per night in a typical demand period.
- Min Price is the lowest net price per night you'll accept. Pricinger never sets a price below the minimum that applies to that date. Only a fixed price you set yourself can go lower.
- Max Price is optional. Pricinger never sets a price above the maximum that applies to that date, unless that date's minimum is higher or you set a fixed price yourself.
In your annual Main Settings, your minimum price can't be higher than your base price, and your maximum price can't be lower than it.
How your limits shape prices
Your pricing strategy and gap price adjustments move prices up or down, and then your limits are applied. A date that would come out above its maximum gets the maximum, and one that would come out below its minimum gets the minimum. If a seasonal or day-of-week minimum sits above the maximum for that date, the minimum wins. Percentage overrides for specific dates on the Calendar tab follow the same limits. Only a fixed price you set with Set price to is used exactly as you enter it.
Different limits for some dates
Under Settings by Day of Week, you can set a different minimum and maximum price for some days, such as weekends. For a period of the year, switch to Seasonal, select Add Seasonal Plan and pick the season's dates. Seasonal rules take priority over annual ones. Your base price stays the same all year. See how to set seasonal prices and date overrides.
The recommended price
Next to your base and minimum price, you may see a Recommended price. Pricinger works it out from your listing's own prices and your competitors' prices, and recalculates it every week.
When you import a listing, Pricinger fills in its base and minimum price from this recommendation. After that, the recommendation is only a suggestion: Pricinger never changes your prices to match it. If you agree with it, type it in and save.
